Bible Study -April 1st - Passover Celebration

Updated: Apr 19

Exodus Ch 12:20-27.

There was an ordinance that passover over was supposed to be practiced forever and passed down from generation to generation in honor Jesus. We celebrated with a meal of unleavened bread , lamb, wine (grape juice), bitter herbs (aka grape leaves), & more! Unleavened bread means it is without yeast, the yeast represented sin.

TAKEAWAY: Connecting with Christ at Passover can be a meaningful way to deepen your understanding of the Christian faith and to share it with your family. Here are a few things to consider if you would like to begin this tradition.

  1. Tell the story - read the scripture out loud

  2. Search your heart... Are you carrying secrets that cause you shame and guilt? Speaking them to God can offer hope, forgiveness, healing, and the promise of new life.

  3. Have Hope - the promise that Jesus is coming back and we will have eternal life. Consider sharing your hopes and dreams at the table during your tradition.

  4. Do something sacrificial in secret to show kindness or service to another in need.

  5. Gratitude - Take this time to be grateful for all the blessings God has given you.

A special thank you to Habibi's for preparing a food for us. On a side note, if you haven't checked this place out you need to! Best food in Marksville!
